Major Mancing Types
Pyromancer- Fire
Subelement:Ignimancing (Lightning) and Navitasmancing (Energy)
The ability to create and control fire, magma, lightening and energy in general. Fire is known for its power and all-consuming qualities. Fire shows a force that cannot be contained with ease its strength and passion to accomplish what it starts. Fire is usually best controlled by rage, hate, anger, and ambition.
Hydromancer- Water
Subelement: Pagomancing (Ice) and Kardiamancing (Heart)
The ability to control water in all forms and emotions. Water is the element of change. Hydromancers are usually flowing and graceful and easy adapt to their environments. They are naturally rather calm and in tuned to the people around them. They can read and even slightly manipulate emotions particularly when they are highly in tuned to the people around them. They are often driven by patience, kindness, discipline, and temperance.
Aeromancer- Air
Subelement: Sonumancing (Sound) and Kairomancing (Storm )
The ability to control and manipulate currents of air and sound. Air is generally peaceful and full of life and energy. They are happy and often carefree and bubbly. They void turmoil at almost any cost and live in the most peaceful and flexible way possible. They are the kind to use someone’s own strength against them if there is a need for fighting and will only ever use defense when necessary. They are almost always driven by freedom, loyalty, joy, and compassion.
Geomancer- Earth
Subelement: Metallomancing (Metal ) and Fytomancing (Flora)
The ability to manipulate earth and rock and all its forms. Geomancers are usually very steady and levelheaded beings. They are wise and strong and very much driven by their inner strength and persistence. They are very stubborn and hate change feeling better and a steady and constant environment. They are very strong in their opinions and beliefs and will defend them to the end making them very loyal but also slightly argumentative on some subjects. They are most driven by strength, persistence, their beliefs, and endurance.
Luxmancer- Light
Subelement: Occultamancer (Illusion)
Light is the ability to control all forms of light and how they are interpreted by the eye. Luxmancers are generally the ultimate example of the law. They are bright personalities and are usually calm and just. They are always thinking of what is just and right. They are usually driven by justice, good, truth, and loyalty.
Sanamancer-Life
Subelement: Gnosimancing (Knowledge)
Luxmancers hold control over life and death, they decide who lives or dies and are also very powerful healers. They are the most knowledgeable and are essentially like walking encyclopedias. They hold wisdom but are also possibly the kindest of the mancer types. They have the ability to kill people but they will rarely use it because it causes them to lose a lot of energy. They try to see the best from people and are often driven by compassion, kindness, love, and gentility.
Umbramancer-Shadow
Subelement: Siccusmancing(Temperature)
Umbramancers are of a darker breed but are not necessarily evil or innately bad. They have control over darkness or shadow and they also can control the temperature of their surroundings. Though people who control shadows usually are seen as sly and dark they are not dark personalities. They are very good at stealth and hiding because of their ability to not be seen in the dark. They usually like to wear dark cloths and keep their hair dark colors solely because they feel more in communion with their element that way. They are graceful, agile and crave acceptance from heir piers. They are very calculated and well thought out in all they do. Umbramancers are usually driven by intelligence, cunning, community, and acceptance.
Necromancing/Skotadimancing- Dark
Subelement: Phobomancer (Fear)
Skotadimancers control the dead humanity’s fears and are often very dark by nature but again not necessarily evil. They are surrounded by death so they have a more frightening view on life but most of them do not let themselves be conquered by the constant bombardment with loss. They can also see and use a person’s fear and use it against that person . They see so much death and darkness that when something good is in their lives they have the greatest reminder to hold onto it. They are the ones who count their blessings the best, even the little things. They are often the happiest over the smallest of things and live more fully than other because they have the most recognition of what is possible. They are usually driven by life, gratitude, loss, and justice.
Minor Mancing Types
Seimancer-Spirit
Seimancer are able to summon spirits of those who have passed on such as warrior spirits. These Mancers are able to see, hear, and speak to spirits all the time. Unfortunately, this gives rise to the other Mancers and people in general looking at them oddly. More powerful Seimancers can both summon and banish spirits to and fro the Spirit Realm. Seimancers are often withdrawn and spacey but have an air of high intelligence about them.
Utaumancer -Song
Utaumancers are the singers of the Mancing world and are the basis for the greek myth of the siren. Their gift manifests as the ability to charm people into doing their will, or lull them to sleep. The very idea of them is frighteningly powerful and they surpass even the myth they embody. Able to even defy gravity through their sonic abilities, shatter glass, and many other things. However, no matter how powerful they seem, they do have a weakness. Their mouths must be free of obstruction and if they are unable to use their vocal abilities they are rendered powerless. Utaumancers are often driven by feelings of confidence, passion, relief, and release.
Tempumancer -Time
Tempumancers have the ability able to control time and temporal movement. They are able to slow down, speed up, or completely stop temporal flow. These Mancers are also quite powerful, however they have severe limitations. Their ability to travel between the different time periods is highly rare, and most go mad if they achieve it or spend too long working towards it. Tempumancers are unable to alter the time flow of things or keep time from aging them. However there are one or two Tempumancers are centuries old but appear young. This technique is extremely rare. Tempumancers are often driven by patience, wisdom, temperance, and compassion.
Dracomancer-Dragon
Dracomancy, is the art of dragon summoning and dragon magic. For years dragons have helped to be the invisible guardians of our universe, the monsters that fabled knights have fought in quest, and the symbols we’re use to, to show power, strength, courage, valor, balance, and virtue. In cultures all over the world the dragon has found its place amongst man. Dracomancers are usually driven by power, strength, and tradition.
