"You can't keep us here! I'm of age. I want to take my sister out of here." A loud voice rang through the Main Office of the Pearl of the Sea Orphanage, clearly angry. In the room, a tall blonde stood in front of a desk, glaring at a woman behind it. "I'm sorry, but I can't do that. You don't have legal guardianship of your sister. You, are of age, yes, so you can leave, but I would have to keep your sister here until you get the proper paperwork for her custody signed." The blonde glared at the woman before simply turning and walking out.
Outside the door, a younger blonde stood, looking expectantly to her elder sister. The girl simply shook her head, and the younger sighed. "Don't worry. I'll find a way." The younger girl nodded before walking back to her room. The elder did the same, reaching under her bed when she got there. A large black bag was there. She pulled it out and unzipped it. A regulation Archery bow lay inside, as well as multiple arrows. She made sure no one could see what she was doing as she put metal caps on the ends of all of them before she swung the bow over her shoulder, followed by the quiver her arrows were in.
"Where do you think you're going, young lady?" The female voice from before came from behind her. The girl turned around, her face straight. "You said I could use the ground and bales whenever I wanted for practice." The woman nodded and moved, letting the girl passed. She did so, moving quickly until she reached the back door of the facility. She went to the shed behind the main house, rolling out a hay bale with a marked target on it. She smiled as she set it up, then moved back so she was a good distance away from the target. She pulled the bow from her back then nocked in an arrow, pulling back before letting the string go. A smirk crossed her face when the tip hit almost dead center of the target. She was getting good, but she still had a ways to go. She needed to be prepared for whenever they showed up.

Jason had the day off the library but he couldn’t find his brother or sister anywhere. Maybe Pandora was at the beach, surfing. Ah well, he’d find to them later. The trouble now was that he didn’t know what to do. He didn’t have many friends, maybe like, one or two. Ok, so he counted the younger fellow staff members as his friends but he didn’t see them every day, as some had days off. Also, the staff were busy a lot of the time, so Jay was pretty much left on his own for now. He sighed, wondering what he could do to occupy his time. He decided to eventually water some of the plants out back. They would need to keep hydrated in this weather.
Jason noticed with a sudden thought that he felt at peace when around flowers and other types of flora. He hadn’t noticed it until now – how odd. Once he had fetched the watering can, he went about watering the individual plants around the orphanage. Some of the younger orphanage thought that a guy watering plants was unusual. Jason reasoned this was because the women staff members typically did the gardening, though some of the older orphans helped out. Once that task was done, he read for a bit though he got bored of it real quick. Sighing to himself, he mentally cursed for not going to the caves or the forest. It was a nice day for trekking and exploring.
He then heard a girl shout and frowned. He managed to catch a glimpse of the new girl, Nekoda and her sister. Nekoda had an archery bow in hand. Hm...interesting. Weren’t the staff concerned that she had a weapon on her? Time to find out what she was doing with a bow. He approached slowly and cautiously. He saw the shot and was impressed.
“Nice shot,” Jason said, his Australian accent showing through.
