Be a good boy, his mother would say. But how could he. This wasn't his father. This was an imposter. A man trying to take his father's place. To complete the circle. To fill in the gap left behind by his wayward father. It was easy enough for her to say things like that. She just had to sleep with her arms around him. He replaced nothing. Just filled the empty space in her heart. Just like his own father had.
For some reason he was driven out to some tiny town named Pearl something or rather. The name of the town would suggest that it was the diamond of the country, but in all honesty it wasn't. An orphanage stood proud and tall in the center of a street filled with run down houses, you'd think that a town would have some pride in themselves. He took a left, allowing a mountain to creep closer towards them.
"That, my son, is what we are doing. We're going to climb that mountain together." That did it. You don't take your stepson out in the middle of no where. You don't call your girlfriend's son your own son unless you are the father. You don't call him your son or anything like that unless you were biologically related. "I AM NOT YOUR SON! YOU MAY BE DATING MY MOM BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU MY DAD! YOUR NOTHING BUT AN IMPOSTER TRYING TO FILL THE VOID!" With that he grabbed his back pack and stormed off towards the mountain and into the beyond.

Jason had had enough of the orphanage. He needed out, and he was sure that Kaine and Pan felt the same too. He just wished they could escape or something. True, he may seem comfortable at the orphanage and he was very stubborn and argumentative but he thought after spending however long in the orphanage but it was time for a change. He just needed to talk to his brother and sister about it. He had been saving up a lot of money and researched various things to do with running away, as absurd as it sounded. It was known that Jason Bones was the bookworm out of the three. Kaine was the jock and Pan was the kind, compassionate one.
Jason had texted the other two to come to Mount Ettalong. It had a nice view and they could do some rock climbing. He had bought some rock climbing gear with him just in case. However, if he knew his brother and sister, and he did (he hoped) they wouldn’t mind. Jay was the one who came up with the contingency plans and so forth. Basically, he was like a human encyclopaedia. The Australian boy wore a blue t-shirt and cream-coloured shorts. The sun beat down, as per usual and cast a hot and humid air about the place. A bottle of water was always handy to have on you, especially when it was a hot day like this. Jason was geared up with three sets of climbing gear, bottles of water, little snacks, some sandwiches, and all the other things people would need for a day of fun rock climbing and just general fun.
The middle child of the Bones triplets waited for his siblings, all the while reading a book. He didn’t know how the day would go but he hoped that they would have fun and talk about escaping.

their aint no mountain high enough, aint no valley low enoguh ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊It was a lovely warm sunny day and Pan had received a text from her brother Jason asking her to meet him at mount ettalong for a bit of rock climbing. Now Pan wasn't the biggest fan of rock climbing as she wasn't the biggest fan of heights but when she was with her brothers she didn't want to so any signs of weakness so she'd do it anyway. She probably wouldn't be as good as they were because she was smaller and so couldn't reach as many ledges without a helping hand but that didn't matter as somebody would help her along. Plus it meant she got to spend some quality time with her brothers without the shadow of the orphanage hanging over her. They place just wasn't the best place to have quality time as it constantly reminded you that nobody really wanted you.
So getting out and away from the place was a definite plus in Pan's mind. It was one reason that she had got herself a job so at the beach shack to get away from the place. Having a part time job was nearly as good as job a school to get out and about but better in Pan's eyes because she didn't have to learn anything and was right by the sea which she loved so much. She kind of wished Jason he chosen to go surfing instead as she could show up her brothers than plus get them a discount on board rentals and such from working at the beach shack. Being an orphan they didn't really get a lot of pocket money so any discount Pan could get she would go for it as saving money was a big deal especially if she wanted out of the orphanage for good.
So making sure she had some good sturdy shoes on her feet instead of her usual flip flops Pan set off towards to mountain. She caught a bus out of town that passed the mountain on its way to a village. It wasn't an overly long drive since there weren’t many stops on the way there as after all it wasn't a massive town as it didn't even have a main bus stop at a market area or anything just little shelters dotted about the streets. When they got to the right stop Pan pushed the stop button and got off at the next stop thanking the driver as she did so who was a kind old man by the look of the smile he gave her as she departed his route. When the bus had passed Pan crossed the road and walked along the path to the place Jason had told them to meet him.
It wasn't an overly long walk and when she found Jason she was surprised that Kaine wasn't there before her, as out of the three if anyone was going to be late it was Pan. She was the free spirit and so didn't stick to schedules as much as her brothers did. "Hey Jason, no Kaine yet." Pan asked and she greeted her brother. Though it didn't take all the long for Kaine to show up so soon they was getting ready to go up the mountain checking all their gear was where it should be. If anyone had seen the trio you wouldn't have thought they were triplet just brothers and their little sister. People would probably think that Kaine was more like seventeen because of his build then Jason the next oldest and they probably think Pan was a year or two younger than she actually was cause she had always looked the youngest by far. "Ok are we gonna own this mountain or what." Pan said to hide her slight fear of heights.
